Hunter turned 30 on September 30th. Eric had a big surprise party for her at Austin Karaoke. It was so much fun.
One time with the help of a very talented friend I assisted in making an R2D2 cake. That gave me the confidence to tell Eric I could make a cake for Hunter and while I’m at it, how about the shape of a roller rink?!? What was I thinking? We found out Hank had swine flu on a Wednesday and the party was that night! I started the cake the day before and Eric as over at our house helping me. We cut all the pieces and got it worked out. When he left, I assembled it…… wait for it………wrong! Brett came in the kitchen and was all mad at me for not labeling the pieces. Let’s just say, I am not a baker.
The party was a big success and she was very surprised. I am not great with numbers, but there was a great turn out. I was at the front of the pack as the main photographer. If I yelled they are here once, I said it 10 times. By the end, no one would listen to me. None of us were really ready when they did come around the corner. Eric sent out a color coded map of where we “could” park and where we “could” stand. His plan worked.
I adore Hunter and think she is such a special person. I got to meet her sister and she is great too. It was a fun night, but I had to race home to see myself on the news. That was a fun surprise to be picking up our RX for Tamiflu and get to be on Fox News at 9!
